Green Grass during Sunset

Would you believe it if I told you that last year my wife and I walked with some prehistoric humans from 7,500 years ago? Believe it or not, this is 100% true. Do you want to walk on the seaside with prehistoric humans? I’m not joking; you could enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience if you visit a beach near Liverpool. There’s a high chance you might see your footprints beside the footprints of humans and animals who existed 7,500 years ago.

Last summer, when my wife and I were planning a vacation in Liverpool, we searched for the best beaches near Liverpool and Blackpool. We visited many fascinating beaches and had a great time on that vacation. I know there are many people like us who wonder what the best beaches near Liverpool and Blackpool are. This article is for you from my wife and me.

Formby Beach

At the top of our list of beautiful beaches near Liverpool, we have Formby Beach. If you want to immerse yourself in nature, this is the perfect place for you. But wait! The most interesting part is still untold. The beach is wide and long, perfect for a seaside walk. But if you’re lucky, you might see the prehistoric human and animal footprints from up to 7,500 years ago. This phenomenon doesn’t happen all the time, though. Only when the sediment beds on Formby Beach are uncovered can you see this amazing sight and walk with prehistoric people. Are you going to take a walk with them?

Crosby Beach

Don’t miss visiting Crosby Beach while you’re in Liverpool. You’re going to get some amazing pictures for sure. Why? This is a long and wide beach with soft, comfortable sand. But the most attractive thing about Crosby Beach is the cast iron statues. This amazing sight is not seen anywhere else in the UK. The 100 surreal statues, created by artist Antony Gormley, stand on the beach. These statues are attractive to both children and adults. These structures are called “Another Place.” Although this beach is not a bathing beach, the amazing statues and natural scenery will definitely blow your mind.

Blackpool Beach

Blackpool Beach

Blackpool Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches near Liverpool. It’s actually a beach resort. Whether you’re coming with your family or as a couple, this is going to be a great experience for you. It’s just 10 minutes away from the city center. You could have a nice romantic swimming session with your girlfriend. If you’re coming with the family, your children can build sandcastles and enjoy many other sports and beach games. The whole area is very close to many amenities such as art installations, Victorian piers, entertainment venues, snack shops, arcades, and more. Blackpool will give you a complete experience that you will cherish for a long, long time.

New Brighton Beach

Beach with Pier in the Evening
New Brighton Beach

Another name for this beautiful beach is Wallasey Beach. This beach is situated near the southern banks of the River Mersey. As the beach is not far from central Liverpool, it’s one of the most popular beaches in Liverpool. Locals often come here to spend time with their families. You can see the New Brighton Lighthouse while walking on the beach. This is a very important monument in local history. So, catch a taxi from Liverpool city; you’re just 7 miles away from New Brighton Beach.

West Kirby Beach

Water and Rocks on Wasteland
West Kirby Beach

West Kirby Beach is comparatively smaller than the other beaches around Liverpool. It’s typically busy and lively on weekends. You could spend a perfect evening there with your loved ones. Also, if you’re interested in seeing water sports, kite surfers are often seen at West Kirby Beach. But one thing you should keep in mind while visiting this amazing beach: no alcohol is allowed on the beach. Be careful about that; otherwise, your evening could be ruined by the police.
